Abstract

 The article is devoted to the study of the historical roots and origins of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations, which go back to  ncient times. Special attention is paid to the political, economic and cultural contacts that have been formed between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan over the centuries. The article examines trade and diplomatic relations in the Middle Ages, the influence of the Silk Road, as well as the role of historical figures such as the Temurids, Safavid shahs and Uzbek khans in
the development of bilateral relations. The joint cultural and scientific achievements are analyzed, including the contributions of thinkers, poets and scientists from both countries. The article highlights the importance of historical heritage for modern Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations and the prospects for their further strengthening.
